The Ashdale/Glenroy neighborhood occupies an area just north of Sunset Blvd in lower Bel Air. Most homes in the community sit on a gently sloping foothill plateau flanked by two shallow canyons. Many of the elevated residences have views of the city, ocean, and Getty Center. Alternatively, homes along Glenroy Avenue are nestled alongside the canyon floor and trade limited views for a heighened sense of seclusion and tranquility. Proximity to Sunset Blvd affords residents easy access to the 405 Freeway and a plethora of retail and dining options in Westwood Village. Beverly Hills and Brentwood are also just minutes away.
The community has seen a conservative amount of redevelopment, with approximately one dozen second generation homes built since 1982. Newer build homes trend larger and more expensive. Many original houses have been upgraded to various degrees and the vast majority fall in the $2.5MM - $3.5MM price range. Lot sizes are generous and yard sizes vary based location and building footprint. Half the homes in the neighborhood have swimming pools and many feature private gates for added security.
