Bel Air Park is located at the apex of the Santa Monica Mountains, just south of Mulholland Drive and north of the Bel Air Crest development. The community offers a mix of one and two story homes in a variety of sizes and architectural styles. Although not gated, the single entrance is manned by a 24 hour guard booth and traffic in the neighborhood is limited to residents and their guests. Safety is further augmented by a round the clock security patrol.
This neighborhood is comprised of flat to gently sloping streets with sidewalks, and approximately half the homes are situated on family friendly cul-de-sacs. All homes along the fringe of the community command unobstructed mountain views, with select parcels enjoying sight lines all the way to the ocean. Most backyards are large enough to accomodate a swimming pool, a fact that the majority of homeowners have taken advantage of. Virtually all original construction remains in Bel Air Park, although many properties have been partially or extensively remodeled/updated over the years. The handful of newer builds trend large for the community, with select developments on Collina Strada and Duomo Via in the 7,000 s.f. to 9,000 s.f. range.
